Every 7,500 Miles
When you hit 7,500 miles in your Honda CR-V, you’ll be ready for your first stint of routine maintenance. This’ll include both a basic oil change and tire rotation – two key services in maintaining your vehicle.
You’ll likely see some other parts of your vehicle, such as your brakes, tires, and various fluids, inspected at this interval as well. These services will then be repeated at the 22,500-, 37,500-, 52,500-, 67,500-, and 82,500-mile intervals.
Every 15,000 Miles
At the 15,000-mile mark, which typically falls around a year’s worth of driving, you’ll be ready for another oil change and tire rotation. However, you’ll also be looking at a number of additional services, including:
- Steering System Inspection
- Brake, Brake Line, & Parking Brake Inspection
- Suspension Check
- Transmission Service
- Fuel System & Differential Oil Check
You’ll then see these services and several others performed at the 45,000-, 75,000-, and 105,000-mile marks.
Every 30,000 Miles
Once you’ve reached 30,000 miles in your Honda CR-V, you’ll be ready for another routine service appointment. Along with the standard oil change and tire rotation, you’ll have parts such as your transfer case oil, air elements, interior & exterior lamps, and fuel lines inspected by your local service technicians.
This interval will also see your vehicle’s battery and transmission checked to ensure everything is running properly.
There will also be a number of parts, such as your propeller shaft and wheel bearings, re-lubricated to avoid any chance of overheating. These services will occur again at the 60,000-, 90,000-, and 120,000-mile marks.
Honda Maintenance Minder
Newer Honda CR-V models are also equipped with the brilliant Maintenance Minder system. This technology will help you keep an eye on what services you need, and when, so you don’t have to manually keep track.
Highlighted right on your driver’s information display, this system notifies you of both the routine services your CR-V needs as well as when those services are past due. It’ll provide an easy and convenient way to follow your maintenance schedule without having to watch your odometer or constantly stop in at your local dealer’s service center.
