Honda Warning Lights & Their Meanings
The warning lights may differ from configuration to configuration, so always consult your owner’s manual for the complete list. In the meantime, take a look at the following indicators that you’ll likely have in your vehicle:
- Seat Belt Reminder Indicator: This indicator comes on or blinks when any seat belt is unfastened. Make sure you and your passengers fasten seat belts before resuming your commute in Port Republic.
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp: This lamp comes on if there is a problem with the engine’s emissions control systems. If a misfire in the engine’s cylinders is detected, this lamp will blink.
- Low Fuel Indicator: This indicator comes on when the fuel reserve is running low.
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Indicator: This indicator comes on if there is a problem with the ABS.
- Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) System Indicator: This indicator blinks when VSA® is active.
- Low Tire Pressure/TPMS Indicator: This indicator may appear briefly when the power mode is set to ON, and the vehicle is not moved within 45 seconds, indicating that the calibration process is not yet complete. If it comes on and stays on, it indicates the system has not been calibrated, or one or more tires have significantly low pressure. If low tire pressure is the cause, stop in a safe place, check the pressure, and inflate the tires if necessary.
- Safety Support Indicator (Amber): This indicator comes on if there is a problem with any of the safety support systems.
