Honda Accord Efficiency
The 2022 Honda Accord offers two gas-powered turbocharged engines, a 1.5L and 2.0L, both of which offer solid EPA-estimated fuel efficiency ratings:*
- 1.5L engine: 30 city/38 highway MPG in the LX and EX-L trims.*
- 2.0L engine: 22 city/32 highway MPG in the Sport trim.*
Not only are these engines efficient, but they’re powerful, too. The 1.5L engine produces up to 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) for fine-tuned gear shifting.
For a sportier feel, opt for the 2.0L engine, which generates 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Plus, this engine comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters.
Go Farther With Hybrid
Fuel efficiency is one of the most important factors to consider when searching for a new sedan. Luckily, the 2.0L hybrid engine earns an EPA-estimated 48 city/47 highway MPG in the Hybrid and Hybrid EX-L trims.* Say goodbye to the attendants at your favorite gas station, because you won’t be seeing them very much anymore!
Don’t let the MPG ratings fool you, though–this engine packs a punch, too, with 212 total system horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque. An electronic CVT keeps performance efficient and smooth.
Standard Safety in the Honda
Every Honda Accord comes standard with Honda Sensing®, which is a bundle of driver-assistive safety features that improve your awareness of the road and can help prevent or mitigate collisions. Some of the standard safety features include:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System
- Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
- Lane Keeping Assist System
There are several available safety features, too, like the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor. Gone are the days of asking your front-seat passenger to double-check that you’re clear to change lanes. External sensors on the vehicle detect cars in your blind spot, so you have a little more peace of mind come rush hour.
The Head-Up Display is another available convenience-boosting feature. When you’re following turn-by-turn directions, this system projects important driving information on the lower part of the windshield, right in your line of vision and without blocking your view. Keep your eyes on the road without missing a turn.
Connect on the Go in the Accord
Stay connected wherever you go when you’re behind the wheel of the Accord.
The available wireless phone charger keeps your smartphone juiced up without the inconvenience of detangling wires—or the inconvenience of remembering to bring a charger in the first place.
The Accord also comes standard with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, so you can access all your favorite apps hands-free from the 8-inch center touchscreen.
After you’re all synced up, enjoy your tunes like never before through the 10-speaker premium audio system that envelops your cabin in surround sound.
Of course, sometimes staying connected means getting in touch with other people. That’s why the Accord offers SMS text message function and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®–so you can connect with your loved ones without taking your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road.
