Our favorite automaker has already found remarkable success with the latest Honda CR-V here in the United States. Consumers have fallen in love with the model's compact utility and undeniable style. Now, Honda has decided to share the automotive wealth and bring a new CR-V variant to Europe.
Making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the European CR-V bears striking resemblance to its American counterpart. In fact, at first glance one might not be able to tell the two apart at all. However, Honda knows all consumers are different and has tweaked some features accordingly.
A recent Honda press release notes, "Compared to the previous generation, this Prototype adopts a more aggressive stance with deeper sculpting of the body lines and a bolder front fascia."1 In addition to switching up the style a bit, Honda engineers have also made the Europe-bound CR-V slightly more aerodynamic. Unlike that of its predecessor, the new CR-V model's lower front bumper blends smoothly into the fascia.
When will the ultra-versatile Honda CR-V hit Europe? We can't give you an exact date for sure. However, company officials have promised overseas consumers the model will arrive sometime this fall. As the CR-V and other new Honda vehicles start to roll out for the 2013 model year, we invite you to stay tuned to our Boardwalk Honda blog for all the latest information.
